Terms of Service
Effective date: October 10, 2026
These terms govern ResearchToDeck. By using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old. Provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure, and take responsibility for activity under your account. Notify support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
2. Service Description
ResearchToDeck prepares a finished editable PPTX and PDF from one complete primary research paper. Provide a PDF, DOI, PubMed link, or retrievable paper URL, plus your target audience and desired slides or duration. Full text is required; an abstract or metadata alone is insufficient. Optional context or branding does not expand the request into multi-paper synthesis. We do not bypass paywalls, validate scientific findings, provide medical advice, or offer a private deployment. Do not upload regulated or patient-identifiable data.
3. Acceptable Use
You must have the right to provide and use your source materials. Do not upload malicious files or prohibited sensitive data; violate copyright or other rights; misrepresent authorship, fabricate findings, or misuse citations; circumvent access controls or offer limits; impersonate others; or disrupt the service.
4. Billing and Plans
Try Before You Buy: $5. Research Deck: $19. Deep Dive Deck: $29. One-time purchases only, with no subscription, automatic conversion, or sample credit toward a full deck.
Try Before You Buy delivers exactly four representative finished slides, including substantive methods, results, or interpretation where available. Research Deck delivers up to 12 slides; Deep Dive Deck delivers up to 20. All include editable PPTX and PDF. Full decks include useful source-grounded notes.
Reviewed delivery is within 24-72 hours after complete valid inputs, payment, and explicit submission. Payment alone does not submit a request. Each purchase covers its own offer and does not grant another tier. Service-caused errors are corrected without a new purchase. Material scope changes require separate work. Contact support about cancellations or refunds; rights under applicable law are unaffected.
5. Your Data
You retain your rights in materials you supply. You are responsible for their legality, accuracy, and permissions. We use them to fulfill your request and operate the service. We retain information while needed for service, security, legal, and accounting obligations. Contact support for deletion requests; no fixed automatic deletion period is promised.
6. Ownership and Licenses
You retain ownership of your materials and your rights in the delivered deck, subject to rights in third-party papers, figures, quotations, and other source content. Attribution does not replace permission where permission is required. You grant ResearchToDeck a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, store, transmit, display, and use your materials as necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the service. ResearchToDeck retains ownership of its platform and underlying technology.
7. Team Accounts
Where you use an account on behalf of an organization or with authorized team access, you confirm that you have authority to do so. You are responsible for permitted access and activity associated with your team. A team account does not change the purchased offer or grant an additional deck.
8. Disclaimers
We provide source-grounded presentation preparation, not peer review, scientific validation, academic accreditation, or professional advice. Review the delivered deck against the paper before use. Except for express service commitments and rights that cannot legally be excluded, the service is provided as available without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. This does not remove our commitment to correct service-caused errors.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResearchToDeck and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, data, or business interruption. Aggregate liability for claims related to the service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid in the preceding 12 months or $100 USD. This limitation does not restrict rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be limited.
10. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless ResearchToDeck from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another party’s rights through materials you supply.
11. Dispute Resolution
Before filing a claim, contact support to seek informal resolution for at least 30 days. To the extent permitted by law, unresolved disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, not by class or representative action. If arbitration is unenforceable for a claim, that claim will be resolved in courts in Delaware under Delaware law. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
12. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably needed to address legal, security, abuse, or operational risks, or a violation of these terms. You may request account closure through support. Applicable payment, data-retention, liability, and dispute provisions survive termination. Contact support about outstanding paid requests or access to delivered files.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms and will notify users of material changes by email or in the service where required. The effective date identifies the current version. Changes do not silently alter the scope or price of a request you already purchased and submitted.
